Penis Numbing Spray Revisited

Just over two months ago, I posted a review of Promescent Penis Numbing Spray.

In fairness, my review of Promescent was formed entirely off of another review by Josh Gondelman. So when Promescent contacted me to try their penis numbing spray and write another review, I had no choice but to accept.

So without further ado, this is the Promescent Penis Numbing Spray Review Part 2.

If you guys aren’t familiar with Promescent, here’s a little intro video so you know how it works:

In other words, Promescent cures your premature ejaculation by removing all sensation from your penis.

What they don’t tell you about applying the lidocaine to your penis is that it burns like hell for roughly ten minutes. I assume that the burning sensation is the lidocaine going down to the dermis, but boy is it ever unpleasant.

I tried Promescent twice. Both times, while my penis was on fire, I was in too much discomfort to even think about using my penis and by the time the numbness set in, I was so freaked out that I had done irreversible damage to my dick that I didn’t want anyone (including myself) to go near it. However, for your sake, I manned up and gave using a numbed penis the old college try.

Why would I try it twice if it freaked me out so much? Simple. Once for masturbation and another time for sex. Like any good scientist, I wanted to know what I was working with before taking it out to the field.

Masturbating with Promescent was strange to say the least. I was doing the usual stroking motion on my numb penis for over twenty-minutes and I was ready to give up. When I was about to throw in the white sock, I noticed that sometime in that twenty-minutes I had already came and was too numb to notice. Potentially it was when my head was tilted back in exhaustion or I had my eyes closed for better focus.

Either way, this mystery cum caused a lot of concern. Not only because there was a huge mess to clean up before returning to my seat on the plane, but also how did I not notice an orgasm?

But masturbation is way different than sex. I had to test the Promescent during actual sex to see if the same thing would happen.

So I met up with one of my fly mamacitas (they chose to be called that, not me) to put Promescent to the test.

I didn’t tell her that I would be numbing my penis, all I told her was, “I’m going to be trying something new. Tell me what you think.”

After telling her that, I discreetly went to the bathroom and gave my penis three sprays of Promescent. During this time I pretended shower so that I could groan in discomfort without arousing any suspicion.

When I could no longer feel my penis, it was time to have sex.

Sex on Promescent is tough because you can’t feel anything.

In my original review of Promescent, the main reason I was against penis numbing spray was because I felt that there is no point in having sex if you can’t feel it. Having had sex with no feeling now, I know that my first instinct was right. It’s an absolutely nightmare trying to have sex with a completely numb penis. For all I know, we didn’t even have sex. I could have just been thrusting the air or grinding against her labia.

This sex-guesswork went on for some time and eventually I just had to stop it. I was too self-conscious from lying and having a numb penis that I couldn’t continue having sex.

Unsurprisingly, when I finally called it quits, I noticed that I had came at some point during the sex. Who knows when, but the evidence was there in the condom.

Maybe my penis is just too sensitive to penis numbing spray, but if I orgasmed twice without noticing, would that not also happen to men suffering from premature ejaculation? If so then Promescent is not a solution to premature ejaculation. It’s just a way to trick yourself into keep going and not worry about ejaculating prematurely, though based on my experience it will happen any way and you just won’t know.

The whole reason that products like Promescent exist is because they cash-in on the insecurities and guilt of men who suffer from premature ejaculation. They know that men want to satisfy their women and they’ll try anything to succeed in pleasing their woman. Feel free to disagree with me, but if you look at how premature ejaculation is portrayed in stock-photographs you’ll see that it’s more often the man who looks disappointed and the woman doesn’t really care:

This got me thinking, “Does premature ejaculation really matter to women?” So I got my fly mamacita’s perspective on sex with a numbed penis.

I reminded her that I was trying something new and that I wanted her honest opinion of the sex we had just had before I revealed my numb penis secret so not to influence her in any way.

My fly mamacita felt that my performance was more awkward than usual, which is understandable because I was concentrated on the fact that I couldn’t feel anything with my penis. But beyond my preoccupation with numbness, she said that I was not responding to cues she was giving me with her body (pussy) and that I couldn’t keep a steady rhythm.

Now, Promescent may not be the problem. The problem might be me. But I’ll tell ya that the Promescent definitely did not help.

Her other comment was that she could feel that my penis was not engorged at times and that I continued to poke at her with a flaccid penis. She thought I was just trying to persevere, but ultimately it wasn’t very much fun.

Once again my hypothesis that sex needs to be felt otherwise it’s utterly pointless was confirmed.

It was then I revealed that I had numbed my penis with Promescent penis numbing spray. She asked, “Why would you do that? You don’t have a problem with premature ejaculation.”

To which I replied, “You’re damn right I don’t.”

But seriously…I asked my fly mamacita if I did suffer from premature ejaculation, would she prefer that I numb my penis on a regular basis or ejaculate prematurely?

Being the cool chick that she is, my fly mamacita told me, “I’d rather have sex that lasted less than a minute than do whatever we just did.”

Hearing her say that was the final nail in Promescent‘s coffin. The length of sex is irrelevant. Sex needs to be felt, even if it’s short-lived. And hey, if it is short-lived, what’s wrong with hopping back in the saddle for seconds?

Maybe it’s just me, but for me I would not recommend Promescent to anyone because it burns your penis, you can cum and lose your erection without even realizing it, and ultimately it’s not something that women want.

But keep in mind that my fly mamacita is super cool and I don’t have a problem with premature ejaculation. If your partner is always mad at you for ejaculating prematurely, you might want to try Promescent. My advice to you would be to break up with her because why someone would always get mad at you for ejaculating prematurely is insane.

But none the less, if you want to try Promescent for yourself you can purchase it on their website:

I’d like to thank Promescent for sending me samples of their product.

I’d also like to apologize to Promescent for making them wait so long for a bad review. Not cool of me, but it’s the truth.

Again, Promescent wasn’t right for me. If you think it’s right for you, order some today and let me know how it goes.

UPDATE. Greg from Promescent just read this review and here’s what he had to say:

  1. The product is designed for guys with clinical PE and guys without such a condition (and just want to extend their sexual experience) should not use 3 sprays;  just one or two.
  2.  It is highly unusual to have such a burning sensation as you had (in fact, we have never had a report of significant burning as you had)
  3. We have numerous physicians / urologists recommending the product so we believe that your experience is not the norm

So really, it was my bad. I shouldn’t have put three sprays of Promescent. But that should be  marked on the packaging, which it is not. Greg, you gotta make that very clear.

If no one else has ever been burned, why did it happen to me?

Really though, I’m not concerned with the burning. I’m much more concerned about the mystery cumming.

And who are you going to trust, a doctor or a blogger?

Asking questions are genuinely pleasant thing if you are not understanding something fully, except this piece
of writing provides good understanding even.

    Yes.

Why you would spray any chemicals onto your dick is totally beyond me. Thank you for your bravery.

  • the numbness

I think you’re full of shit. I use numbing stuff all the time because otherwise I wouldn’t be able to last at all and there’s no such thing as “mystery cum” as you so nicely put it. I call bullshit.

Women do care if you PE. They don’t get theirs.

I don’t really care if you think I’m full of shit or not. This is what happened when I used Promescent.

I’ve never had a problem with premature ejaculation and I’ve never used a product like this. I gather that this is a really extreme and unusual case but this is what happened.

If you do suffer from premature ejaculation and women are unsatisfied, why not just perform oral sex on them for hours to keep them happy?
