Are you ready for goggle porn?

Remember Measure B? The L.A. County by-law that requires condoms on all porn productions?

Well, Measure B has made its way to the California Senate, which if passed would require condoms in all porn produced in the state of California. Currently, the bill is stalled and the latest draft not only requires pornstars to wear condoms but also protective goggles

Forcing pornstars to wear condoms in all scenes with vaginal and anal penetration just simply isn’t good enough for California lawmakers. They want to require “protective protective equipment” to used to “prevent contact of an employee’s eye; skin, mucous membranes, or genitals with the blood or OPIM-STI of another.”

(OPIM-STI is defined as pre-ejaculate, ejaculate, semen, vaginal secretions, fecal matter and rectal secretions, secretions from wounds or sores that are potentially infected with sexually transmitted pathogens, any other bodily fluid when visibly contaminated with blood or all bodily fluids in situations where it is difficult or impossible to differentiate between bodily fluids.)

Yes. Protective eye-wear could become mandatory in all hardcore porn produced in California.

If this draft of Measure B is passed, porn will look like this satirical video James Deen and Jessica Drake made over a year ago:

Super hot, am I right?

Hopefully the California Senate realizes the absurdity of this law and we can all resume watching porn where protective eye-wear is not required.

But if it does pass, does that mean the porn industry will migrate to Nevada?

One thing’s for sure. If this new draft of Measure B passes, the porn industry will not stand for it. The majority of porn fans prefer no condoms in their porn movies and porn pictures, so I can’t imagine they’ll be too happy to see all hardcore porn feature protective eye-wear. You got to give the people the porn they want!

All in all, this is just a very stupid way to criminalize the production of porn in California. Why a broke-ass state like California would want to run a billion dollar industry out of town is a mystery to me but fingers crossed that it doesn’t happen.
