At the risk of drawing the ire of everyone just trying to watch some free porn online, I’d like to take a moment to remind you all of something: Pornstars are people too.
Shocking news, I know.
Generally, we only get to see pornstars in performance mode. And since their performances are often so convincing (i.e. that this is how they get off in real life) that it’s easy to forget that they have other passions, responsibilities and priorities once the cameras stop rolling.
My object is not to ruin the fantasy of pornography. Rather, I think it’s important for people who watch porn to know the context in which porn movies are created.
Last week, Kayden Kross and Manuel Ferrara were profiled on ABC’s iconic investigative news show “20/20″. Normally, when people working in the adult industry are portrayed in mainstream media, the mainstream paints a picture that these people are morally reprehensible and living in denial. Amazingly, “20/20″ didn’t do that with Kayden Kross and Manuel Ferrara.
