It has been reported that at the Vancouver Olympics, over 100,000 free condoms are being distributed as a service to the athletes. This equates to over 14 for each athlete. In Sydney, they gave out 90,000 (and ran out once), and Athens had 130,000 on hand. We understand that after years of training, you may want to blow off a little steam and get wild (especially if you have just won a gold medal). We also get that Vancouver may not want to be known as the Olympics where a breakout of any one of many STD's that are out there happens. But do you think it is the responsibility of the hosting countries taxpayers to basically promote sex in the Olympic Village? Or do you think it is up to the athlete to bring his/her own condoms to the Games?
