In Geoffrey Chaucer's 'Canterbury Tales' one of the stories is The Wife of Bath's Tale. A knight must find the answer to the question of what women most desire. The answer was that "women most desire sovereignty over their husbands". In a nutshell there you have it, a truth played out over thousands of years, by millions of people, and now on full display in our own times. Feminism. Matriarchy. Equality. It all equates to one single point. Power and total dominance over men and each other.
